The GB Weekly would look better with a re-designed masthead.
The GB Weekly would look better with a re-designed masthead....
I support the installation of surveillance cameras in the Takaka CBD
I am generally satisfied with standards of service and presentation in Golden Bay businesses.
The Joan Whiting Home must be allowed to continue to operate until the integrated facilty is ready.
Bay businesses should specifically train their staff to provide good service.
Is it a good idea to continue to publish the tide chart in The GB Weekly?
Wendy Sellwood says "i read this every week, I live in Omarama, North Otago. Was born in Takaka, have done extensive family research in that area, and like to keep up to day with what is happend"

I grew up on the Lewis farm in East Takaka, served in the NZ Army and R.N.Z.A.F. and returned to Canada, where I had done some wartime flying, in 1947. Have returned to visit friends and family about once every 10 years."
October 30th, 2009 at 03:42 AMReiner Mueller says "The GB Weekly online is really great to stay in touch with the Bay where I have lived for 8 years. I fulfilled my dream of building and selling electric bicycles over here in Germany so I can retire to the Bay with all the money I've made ;-). Things I miss most are the Mussel Inn and meat pies."

I tried to join the RNZAF, but they wouldn't have me. Caught the next boat to England and joined the RAF. Became a fighter pilot on a squadron in Germany and met up with Jack Rose, from Takaka,at RAF Sylt, in Germany. Later, in England, met up with Jack Delaney, from Motupipi, who was flying Meteor jets at RAF Waterbeach. Some years later, I returned to NZ and now live in Whangarei, where I peruse the GBW and try and catch up with what's going on in the wonderful valley. Bernie Lewis"

November 1st, 2009 at 09:22 AMBeck Brumwell says "I lived in the Bay for only three years and left in 2003. Since then I've lived in the UK, spent long stretches of time travelling, especially in India and Thailand, and most recently have spent a year living in Wellington. I've come back for holidays during this time to catch up with friends, watch the world go by with a coffee on Commercial St and absorb the beauty of the landscape, but it's just not the same. In fact I've pined for the Bay the whole time I've been away, having not found anywhere else that I love as much! I only recently discovered that the GB had gone online, and enjoy reading the articles. I guess my only gripe is that I would have loved to read the classifieds (which I can imagine aren't uploaded for very practical reasons!). Fortunately I'm finally moving back to the Bay in less than a month - so I'll be able to get my regular Friday fix very soon. Thanks for your wonderful paper GB Weekly team - it's helped me stay in touch with goings on during my (self-imposed) exile."
