Two Golden Bay teams are coming together to combine their creative talents in two synergistic performances.
Caitlin and Sika are well known for their music, composed to evoke the peace and harmony of the natural world. Mark Jones and Tui de Roy travel widely, creating photographs of wildlife and landscapes from the planet's most pristine, uninhabited regions.
Nine years ago they combined for a single sell-out performance, melding their passions into a journey of music and images from distant realms. At the end of this month, they will collaborate once more, bringing new photography and instrumentation, exploring fresh themes, and replaying traditional favourites.
"From piano to ocarina, pan pipes to didgeridoo, and from soaring albatrosses to leaping whales, from the teeming jungles of South America to the mystical heights of Tibet, this extravaganza of sound and vision promises to nurture the soul and fire up the spirit," said Tui.
The artists' photographic books and complete musical collection will also be on display for those wishing to see and hear more.
Performances are at Takaka's Village Theatre on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 at 8pm to 10.30pm. Tickets are available from Take Note Takaka and Arcadia in Motueka.
