Police report 13 February 2009

26 January: An 18-year-old Takaka woman was cautioned for offensive behaviour.
29 January: A two-vehicle collision causing an injury occurred on SH60 Tukurua when a driver crossed the centre line into the path of another vehicle. The 81-year-old driver suffered severe leg injuries.
29 January: A quantity of cash was reported stolen from a locked vehicle at Paynes Ford. There was no sign of a forced entry.
30 January: A set line was reported stolen from off Taupo Point.
30 January: A Husqvarna chainsaw was reported stolen from the deck of a utility parked at the supermarket. This offence happened in daylight when the car park was busy. We would appreciate hearing from anyone who saw anything suspicious.
30 January: A 16-year-old local youth was arrested for detox and disorderly behaviour, and unlawfully taking a bicycle. He was released to his parents' custody and the incident will be followed up with youth aid action.
30 January: A 27-year-old Takaka man was arrested for possession of cannabis.
30 January: A 32-year-old Collingwood woman was apprehended selling alcohol to a 16-year-old.
31 January: Two 14-year-old local youths are being dealt with by police after being apprehended for breaking into the clubrooms of a Takaka organisation.
31 January: An 18-year-old Takaka man was processed for driving with excess breath alcohol.
31 January: A set net was reported stolen from off Tata Beach.
1 February: A 25-year-old local female was processed for driving with excess blood alcohol. Her licence has also been suspended for 28 days.
1 February: One hundred metres of decorative triangular flags were reported stolen from the Village Green area.
1 February: A quantity of cash was reported stolen from an unsecure vehicle in Takaka.
2 February: Two anchors, ropes and a buoy were reported stolen from Rangihaeata beach.
2 February: A 23-year-old French tourist escaped injury after his van left the Wainui Road and went over a steep bank.
3 February: Enquiries are continuing into a logging truck-trailer unit overturning while rounding a corner at Motupipi.
3 February: A Takaka man reported his cellphone stolen from his vehicle.
6 February: A two-vehicle collision on the Parapara causeway: A vehicle crossed in the path of an approaching vehicle causing extensive damage. An unlicensed 25-year-old Takaka female was charged with careless use of a motor vehicle and has been forbidden to drive.
7 February: A 19-year-old Takaka man was arrested and charged with breaching the liquor ban after not heeding his initial warning.
7 February: A 56-year-old Takaka man was processed for driving with excess breath alcohol. The results of a blood test are pending.
8 February: A 41-year-old Takaka woman was charged with cultivating cannabis and possession of utensils.
