Golden Bay Tennis Club’s Junior Champions

Spurred on by a good crowd of parents, and perfect weather, nearly 60 junior tennis players took part in the Golden Bay Club’s annual Junior Championships over the weekend.
The competition started on Thursday evening with the Teen Doubles matches, continued over Saturday with the 5 to 11 years mini-tennis tournament, and finished on Sunday with the Teen Singles competition.
With a barbeque going to keep players fuelled, games were played at both the Tarakohe and Park Avenue courts, and prizes were presented in front of the new mural at the revamped Tarakohe clubrooms.
