Local women compete in Taylors Womens Triathlon
A fine sunny day greeted 500 women for the 22nd Taylors Womens Triathlon in Nelson on Sunday 5 April.
The event consists of a 3km walk or 5km run, 14km road cycle and four lengths of the Riverside pool.
Twenty women from Golden Bay (and their supporters) went over and participated in the event, doing Golden Bay proud. There were no major prizewinners but a few came away with spot prizes and some of them were pretty darn good. A great event, and well done to you all for participating.
The week before was the Port Nelson Blokes Day Out with only two competitors from Golden Bay, so next year let’s see if we can do better than that this year.
