There has been a tendency for quite large groups of people to congregate and consume alcohol on the Commercial Street frontage of the premises. This is illegal. People doing this are warned to desist as the area is not covered by the hotel’s liquor licence.  Please assist the hotel management to keep within the law by only using the area within the boundary of the large tyres on the north side of the building which is covered by their licence. This is relevant to all licenced premises proprietors and their customers. Takaka Police will be strictly enforcing any liquor ban breaches and liquor licence breaches that occur in Golden Bay.
