On the credit card
I find highly illuminating the titles of the books, listed in The Nelson Mail for 10 July, recently bought by TDC’s chief executive and ask:
1. Why does he see his role as CEO requiring him to study The Art of War?
2. Does he foresee the Mighty falling at some stage? or has this something to do with forthcoming local body elections ?
3. Is he Built to Last?
4. Has his study of Making Teams work borne fruit within TDC?
5. Why did he not borrow these texts from his own TDC Library, and save the ratepayers $189.47?
6. Will he bequeath these books bought at public expense to the TDC Library?
7. Please can I get TDC to buy me some books too?

The Bay continues to surprise
I was delighted to see Gerard Hindmarsh’s article (9 July) on Our Community Stall run by Dan and NgAng. Since its inception, I’ve found shopping at Our Community Stall a delightful experience enhanced by the art-walk and the European feel of the stone produce stand covered in ivy. Now, Dan and NgAng have created a winter box, a hand painted cardboard container, which can be ordered in several sizes.
I tried a box last week and was very happy when I unpacked it at home. It contained many varieties of fruits and vegetables including young celery, a fresh box of sprouts and beautiful lettuce, but my biggest surprise was the perfect protea bloom and new bar of scented Earth soap. I would buy a box for a shut in or as a present for a friend’s birthday, or on any occasion, the presentation is so lovely and abundant.
The Bay continues to surprise me with its treasures and this is one of them. Thank you Dan and NgAng.

Golden Bay is heart-shaped
There is far more than hope for our world to regenerate and society to advance to coherent compassion and sustainable technologies.
The master key, or what theosophist A Bailey in Initiation Human and Solar (p 174) called The mathematical formula which sums up all the cycles of manifestation, is now well distributed throughout the planetary population. This universal key arrives from what is referred to as the Cosmic Mental Plane. It is the template from which The One and All is constructed upon.
This formular (used by Plato, Pythagorus, Leonardo Da vinci, great artists, composers, poets along with the architects who built the pyramids and Pantheon) is the golden ratio or Phi (1.618 or as additive series 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55,89, 144).
Earth schumman resonance, human DNA, microbiology, physics, Mayan calendar, astrophysics (planet radii distances from sun, their velocities and orbit periods all powers of phi), the brainwave states (beta, alpha, theta, delta), the slowing pulse of our heart as one reaches the meditative state of compassion, human body joint to joint length ratios, all phi ratios.
It’s not all serious either. Change the letters of phi to hip (as in shake those hips); we have dancing, funkiest clothing designs shown to be phi proportioned, even the shape of lowercase letters themselves are snippets of phi spirals.
Locally, the heart shape of Golden Bay herself is an exact pair of golden ratio spirals.

Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun
In response to Grayham’s letter (2 July) I too wish to help bring awareness of the need to prepare ourselves to be One with our Sun, (and Moon) our physical life force, otherwise one can say goodnight.
On 2 May, NASA recorded its greatest sunflare from the other side, class C, our sun protecting us was taking out an invasive planet much larger than Jupiter from another solar system. Just on 8 July an even greater flare exploded. NASA is spooked, saying little; they haven’t discovered the 2010 comet yet. Don’t get me wrong, this is all good news that will wake us up.
When the flares start reaching our side of the sun we’ll all be rock ‘n’ rollin’ in months to come. How prepared are we without electricity as such? Does that compute? Then there was the partial eclipse and full eclipse last Monday; they also have great bearings upon us. Along with the perfect formation of the Cardinal Cross of planets this month. Tyme Haz Kum.
We are here to discover the mystery of Self and in doing so we discover the real God and everyone else in the process.
I recommend we start setting our controls giving Love Respect and Reverence to our Sun daily. Blessings
